CALIFORNIA CCIM CHAPTER

Following are the Named Endowed Scholarships that are fully funded by the California CCIM Chapters including Los Angeles CCIM Chapter, Northern California CCIM Chapter, San Diego CCIM Chapter, and Southern California CCIM Chapter; to honor individuals for their outstanding service to their CCIM chapter, the commercial real estate industry, and their communities.


LOS ANGELES CCIM CHAPTER

Carmela Ma CCIM Scholarship

Carmela Ma photoCarmela Ma, CCIM, of Beverly Hills, California, is the Founder of CJM Associates, a company specializes in real estate investment, advisement and global transactions. She has conducted business in more than 30 countries including projects in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas. Carmela is a senior instructor for CCIM Institute, and has also held several faculty and committee positions with the National Association of Realtors®.

Mary Dee Karp photoMary Dee Karp, CCIM, of Walnut Creek, California, was the President and Founder of Mary Dee Karp & Associates. She earned the CCIM designation in 1972, and was a strong supporter of CCIM Foundation and its predecessor, the CCIM Scholarship Committee. In addition to being generous with her time and expertise, Mary Dee is the only Foundation patron to have multiple named endowed scholarships with five in her honor. Prior to her passing in 2014, she was a Honorary Member of the CCIM Foundation’s Board of Directors for five years.

SAN DIEGO CCIM CHAPTER

James and Berta Darr CCIM Scholarship
Established – 12/31/2004
CCIM Foundation LogoJames Darr, CCIM, of San Diego, California, was involved with commercial real estate for 50 years until his passing in 2015. He was instrumental in establishing the San Diego CCIM Chapter, as well as the Commercial Investment Real Estate Association (CIREA) which was the predecessor to CCIM Institute. James was an instructor for both CIREA and the original San Diego Exchange Group. Over the years, he provided valuable support to the San Diego CCIM Chapter, and was a life member of both the chapter and Institute.

Gene Trowbridge CCIM Scholarship

Gene Trowbridge photoGene Trowbridge, Esq., CCIM, is a California licensed attorney whose law practice focuses on syndication of commercial and investment real estate. Awarded the CCIM designation in 1977, he has served as a member of the CCIM faculty since 1979. Gene has served three times as the President of the Greater Southern California CCIM Chapter.
