NAMED EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS


MID-ATLANTIC CCIM CHAPTER

Following are the Named Education Scholarships that are fully funded by the Mid-Atlantic CCIM Chapter to honor individuals for their outstanding service to their CCIM chapter, the commercial real estate industry, and their communities.

Harold Huggins CCIM Scholarship
Established – 12/17/2013
Harold Huggins photoHarold Huggins, CCIM, of Burtonsville, Maryland, started his real estate career in 1963 and is President and CEO of Huggins Realty. He is a past president of both the Montgomery County Association of Realtors® and the Maryland Association of Realtors®, and also served as regional vice-president of the National Association of Realtors®. Harold attained the CCIM designation in 1998 and soon became an active participant in the organization, including terms as president of the Mid-Atlantic CCIM Chapter and regional vice-president of CCIM Institute.

Alfred Lau CCIM Scholarship
Established – 03/27/2014

Alfred Lau, CCIM, of Potomac, Maryland, served as the principal broker and president of TMC Properties for 25 years. After earning the CCIM designation, he proceeded to become a CCIM instructor, member of the CCIM Institute Board of Directors, and president of his local CCIM chapter. Internationally, he pioneered the introduction of Western real estate models and practices into numerous Asian markets. Alfred passed away in 2012 at 65 years of age.

Karl Wagner CCIM Scholarship
Established – 01/25/2006
Karl Wagner photo
Karl Wagner of Richmond, Virginia, had a successful career in mini-storage development until his retirement in 2009. He served as a President of the Virginia CCIM Chapter in 1984, and Chairman of CCIM Foundation in the late 1990s. He was also an award-winning CCIM Institute instructor for almost 30 years.
