SOUTH CAROLINA CCIM CHAPTER

Following are the Named Education Scholarships that are fully funded by the South Carolina CCIM Chapter to honor individuals for their outstanding service to their CCIM chapter, the commercial real estate industry, and their communities.

Tom DeMint CCIM Scholarship

Tom DeMint, CCIM serves as a Senior Advisor for SVN | GASC, specializing in retail, office, multifamily, and hospitality assets. DeMint received a BA from The University of Tennessee and an MBA from Clemson University. He holds the CCIM designation and has served as President of the SC CCIM Chapter and has served as a member of the SC CCIM Board of Director for many years. He is a licensed real estate broker in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Jay Keenan CCIM Scholarship

Jay Keenan photoJay Keenan, CCIM, is a life long resident of Charleston, South Carolina, and founding partner of Palmetto Commercial Properties. His professional experience in commercial real estate comprises more than 40 years selling, leasing, developing and managing all property types. Jay is an instructor for CCIM Institute and has taught for over 30 years throughout the United States, Canada, Taiwan, and Eastern Europe.

William C. Cantey, Jr., CCIM Memorial Scholarship
Established – 03/01/2015
William C. Cantey, JrBill Cantey, CCIM, CRE, of Columbia, South Carolina, began his career in commercial investment real estate business in 1969. He graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. degree in Economics and from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration with a M.B.A. degree in Finance. Bill was a beloved Senior Instructor on the national faculty of the CCIM Institute, and began teaching courses required for the CCIM designation in 1987. He has served as President of the South Carolina Association of Realtors and as President of the South Carolina CCIM Chapter.
