Program Guidelines

Overview/History
The Susan J. Groeneveld CCIM Scholarship to the Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy was offered for the first time to the 2007 Class of the Academy. Awarded by the Education Foundation of the CCIM Institute, the scholarship recognizes the hard work and dedication of Susan J. Groeneveld, CCIM, CCIM Institute Executive Vice President Emeritus, who was instrumental in founding the program.

Applicants will indicate their interest in this scholarship on their application for the Leadership Application.

The scholarship winner will be announced at the Institute's fall meeting, when the new Leadership Development Academy class is introduced.

Scholarship Value
$2,500: tuition of $1,500 (paid directly to CCIM Institute) plus $1,000 travel stipend (paid directly to recipient).

Applications Available
Application is part of the overall Leadership Development Academy application. It is optional for Academy applicants to complete.

Procedure
Send all applications and materials to the CCIM Institute (with Academy application).

Deadline for Submission to Chapters
Applications are submitted directly to the Institute along with Academy application.

Deadline for Submission to Foundation
Applications for the scholarship should be submitted with the application for the Leadership Development Academy.

Recipient Eligibility

• CCIM Institute member in good standing
• Successful acceptance into the Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy
• Completed scholarship application and supporting materials (including an essay/statement [2-3 paragraphs in length] of how the scholarship will benefit the applicant

Selection Criteria
The selection shall primarily be based on merit, with consideration of financial need (if indicated by the applicant). Foundation Staff or a Board member, along with the Leadership Development Academy selection committee, will select the scholarship winner.

Recipient Notification
After the Leadership Development Academy deadline (typically mid-September), the Foundation and selection committee will select a scholarship recipient. The recipient will be announced and recognized when the new class is announced.

Award Made
Travel stipend will be given after recipient attends first meeting of the Academy.
