Central Arizona CCIM Chapter

Dave Miller CCIM Scholarship

David Miller, CCIM has been in real estate for 43+ years. He was the President of the Central Arizona Chapter of CCIM in 2003 and again in 2015. He is the only person to ever receive the CCIM designation based on his title company experience. He was President of the Arizona Commercial Mortgage Lenders Association (ACMLA) for the 2014-2015 term. Dave has served on numerous boards and committees over the years including First Business Bank, NAIOP, CCIM, ACMLA, ICSC, BIA (CA), NACORE and the Men’s Art Council (Phoenix Art Museum).

Tim Hatlestad CCIM Scholarship

Tim Hatlestad, CCIM, of Scottsdale, Arizona, was a CCIM instructor, the Institute’s 2008 President, and graduate of the Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy. He was a Broker/Owner with RE/MAX and served as President of the Arizona Association of REALTORS in 2005. Tim passed away in 2011 and is remembered for his tireless promotion of the designation, as well as service to his chapter and The CCIM Institute.

HSL Properties, Inc. CCIM Scholarship

In 1975 Humberto Lopez co-founded HSL Properties, Inc., a real estate company with diversified assets of approximately $2.5 billion. He has had direct responsibility for the acquisition, capitalization, financing, renovation and marketing of over 30,000 apartment units, over 2,000 hotel rooms, shopping centers, office buildings, industrial buildings, and thousands of acres of land. In 2004 he founded The H.S. Lopez Family Foundation, a non-profit organization that has contributed over $20 million to date to many non­profit organizations with an emphasis in health, welfare and education.

Ryan W. Heinfeld CCIM Memorial Scholarship

Ryan Heinfeld was born on January 30, 1988, in Tucson, Arizona to Amy and Gary Heinfeld. Ryan was a successful Realtor, earned his CCIM designation and served as Secretary of the Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter. Ryan had an immeasurably kind spirit, a compassionate heart, and an infectious smile. He lived his life by the values of loyalty, inclusivity, and generosity and made the world better for it. He touched so many lives and will be forever missed by his family and friends.

James P. Robertson, Jr. CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 10-27-16

James P. Robertson, Jr., CCIM, is the Senior Commercial Associate Broker for Realty Executives International in Tucson, Arizona. He received an associate’s degree in culinary arts, a B.S.B.A. Degree in Hospitality Management, and then his MBA. Mr. Robertson then secured his Arizona Real Estate Broker’s License and capped it off with his CCIM Designation. Mr. Robertson’s CCIM experiences include 2014 Chapter President, Chairman of the International Activities Committee, member of The CCIM Institute Board of Directors and president of The CCIM Institute Foundation.

George C. Larsen CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 11-15-07

George Larsen, CCIM, of Tucson, Arizona, is an emeritus senior instructor for The CCIM Institute, and has over 35 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. As Co-owner and Broker of Larsen Baker since 1993, he has been responsible for acquisitions, construction, leasing, and management of a commercial property portfolio in excess of 2 million square feet.
