Houston/Gulf Coast CCIM Chapter

Paul A. Lynn CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 10-07-18

Paul A. Lynn, CCIM, has over 45 years in commercial real estate. He is the owner of Paul A. Lynn & Associates, LLC, specializing in Real Estate Auctions. A CCIM Designee since 1987, Paul served as the 1993 President of the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter and remains active on its Board. He has served on The CCIM Institute and Foundation Board of Directors and is Ward Center instructor on Real Estate Auctions.

H. Jim Crowley CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 12-07-07

Jim Crowley, CCIM, of Houston, Texas, served four years in the Navy during World War II and became a real estate broker in 1963. He was the first president for the Houston/Gulf Coast CCIM Chapter in 1981 and the only president to serve two terms for the chapter. Jim passed away in 2010 at 86 years of age.

Frank Fitzgerald CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 09-22-11

Frank Fitzgerald, CCIM, launched his commercial real estate career in 1973 and served as President of both the Houston/Gulf Coast CCIM Chapter and the Houston Association of Realtors. Honored as Houston Realtor of the Year in 1991, Frank was later awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by his CCIM Chapter in 2005, underscoring his lasting impact on the industry and his community.

Pius K. Leung CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 08-25-04

Pius Leung, CCIM, was born in Hong Kong and moved to the U.S. in 1977. He is the Principal of SPAK Interests, which he founded in 1991. A Past President of The CCIM Institute and Foundation and senior faculty member, Pius has also been recognized as International Realtor of the Year and Realtor of the Year by the Houston Association of Realtors. In 2004 he was named CCIM of the Year by The Houston/Gulf Coast CCIM Chapter.

Robert C. Watson CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 11-10-06

Bob Watson, CCIM, transitioned from accounting to real estate in 1970, founding his own real estate company in 1977. Serving as the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter President in 1996, Bob led the chapter to its first Chapter of the Year award and was later honored as CCIM of the Year in 2004. A graduate of the Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy, he also contributed as board member and Treasurer of The CCIM Institute.

North Texas CCIM Chapter

David Schnitzer, CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 04-30-25

David Schnitzer, CCIM is a Partner at ASCEND Commercial Real Estate, a leading brokerage firm based in Dallas, Texas. With more than 24 years of experience in commercial real estate brokerage and property ownership, David specializes in retail, land, and investment properties. He is a licensed real estate broker in both Texas and Oklahoma and actively represents clients across a broad spectrum of transactions.

Allen Feltman CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 04-19-21

Allen Feltman, CCIM, has dedicated over 45 years to commercial real estate, earning his Designation in 1984 thanks to his mother’s encouragement. He served as president of the North Texas CCIM Chapter in 1987 and has held numerous positions of leadership within The CCIM Institute, most notably serving as 1999 national president.

John M. Stone CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 04-19-21

John M. Stone, CCIM, is the chairman of multiple real estate companies and holds an MBA in commercial investment real estate from Southern Methodist University. He received his CCIM designation in 1976, served as a CCIM instructor from 1978-1998, held numerous leadership positions in several national and international commercial real estate organizations including the National Association of Realtors, AMPI, IREM, and CIPS. He served as The CCIM Institute president in 1991.

Susan Barbee McClure CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 04-16-20

Susan McClure, CCIM, is President of McClure Partners in Dallas and has been a dedicated CCIM Institute instructor since 2008. Susan has been involved with the North Texas CCIM Chapter since 2007 where she started as a Presidential Liaison. She has held every position within the board: Secretary, Treasurer, First Vice President, and President.

Ralph Bullard Scholarship

Established Date: 04-16-20

Ralph Bullard, founder of Bullard Construction, has been a steadfast supporter of the North Texas Chapter’s Annual Sporting Clays Tournament for over 25 years. He has been a fixture at this event with memorable stations and attendance by his company. Ralph has contributed to the overwhelming success of this event to raise funds for scholarships and continuing education in the North Texas area.

Jay R. Lucas CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 07-20-07

Jay Lucas, CCIM, is a Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield of Texas. He has been in commercial real estate since 1979 and created the Site to Do Business with The CCIM Institute. He served as President of the North Texas CCIM Chapter from 1990 to 1991 and as President of The CCIM Institute in 1995.

Charles A. “Mac” McClure CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 07-20-07

Mac McClure, CCIM, of Dallas, Texas, was Chairman of the Board of McClure Partners, a real estate development company. Mac was a founding member of the North Texas CCIM Chapter, and a CCIM instructor for more than 30 years. He served as president of The CCIM Institute in 2009 President and was a past president of the Abilene Board of Realtors® where he received a Realtor® of the Year award.

San Antonio/S. Texas CCIM Chapter

Alfred W. “Tom” Rohde, III CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 04-16-24

Having developed over 100 shopping centers over the course of his 50-year career, Rohde Ottmers Realty President Tom Rohde has been active in commercial real estate brokerage and development since 1970 after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin. Tom earned his CCIM Designation in 1976 and served as the founding president of the San Antonio CCIM Chapter.

John T. Crone III CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 04-16-20

After moving to San Antonio in 1983, John T. Crone, CCIM, was a dedicated leader in the real estate community, serving on the boards of the San Antonio/South Texas CCIM Chapter, SABOR, and the Real Estate Council of San Antonio, among others. He had a particular interest in Governmental and Legislative Affairs relating to real estate. He also contributed to his community as a board member for The Lighthouse for the Blind.

John Vogel CCIM Scholarship

John H. Vogel, CCIM, started as a Commercial Broker in 1996. In 2008, John, along with the San Antonio/South Texas Chapter of CCIM and UTSA, invested their efforts in creating the annual Real Estate Development Project Competition providing college students a chance to earn real-life experience in the real estate development process.

Greater El Paso Texas CCIM Chapter

Bob Ayoub Scholarship

Established Date: 04-16-24

Bob Ayoub, an El Paso native, transitioned from Accounting to Commercial Real Estate Brokerage and Development in 1976. Currently serving as the Chief Public Relations Officer at MIMCO Properties, Ayoub holds leadership roles in various organizations. This scholarship, established by MIMCO Properties, honors Bob for his recognition as the 2024 Legend of Real Estate by the Greater El Paso CCIM Chapter, and for his years of service to both MIMCO and the CRE industry.

Jerry Rubin Scholarship

Jerry Rubin, founder and Executive Chairman of River Oaks Properties, has played an instrumental role in shaping the landscape of retail real estate in El Paso, Texas by focusing on high-quality neighborhood and community shopping centers. Rubin’s significant contributions to the Greater El Paso CCIM Chapter have earned him the esteemed title of the 2021 Legend of Real Estate.

Carleen R. Barth CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 04-16-20

Carleen Barth, CCIM, is a veteran of the commercial investment real estate industry with specific interest in multi-family and retail properties, construction, and development. Ms. Barth volunteers her time to help other commercial real estate professionals in their pursuit of the CCIM Designation. She has served in multiple roles at both local and national levels within The CCIM Institute. Beyond her industry work, Carleen shares her expertise as an educator at the University of Texas at El Paso.

Ruben Schaeffer, Sr., CCIM Scholarship

Mr. Ruben Schaeffer, Sr., CCIM of El Paso, Texas was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during World War II and enjoyed a real estate career that spanned five decades. Mr. Schaeffer was one of the first CCIM Designees in El Paso whose career included serving as both President of the Greater El Paso Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He epitomized the values of a CCIM with his creativity and genius structuring real estate deals.

Butch and Rhonda West CCIM Scholarship

Established Date: 03-01-15

Butch West, CCIM, and Rhonda West, CCIM, CPM, RPA, of Austin, Texas, started their commercial real estate careers in 1979. In 1993, they returned to Texas and founded West Commercial Real Estate Services to oversee the acquisition, management, leasing and sales of client portfolios. Butch and Rhonda continue to be tireless volunteers at local and national levels for CCIM, including both having served as President of the Central Texas CCIM Chapter and as members of The CCIM Institute Board of Directors.

Commercial Industrial Properties (CIP) Scholarship

With 5 CCIM Designees in the office, including 3 past Chapter Presidents, Commercial Industrial Properties (CIP) is pleased to award an annual scholarship to the next generation of CRE professionals seeking the pin! Principals Josh Hubka, CCIM, Robby Eaves, CCIM (both past Central Texas Chapter Presidents) and Bob Springer, CCIM, lead a team of professionals with over 300 years of combined experience in the Austin market.

Len H. Layne CCIM Memorial Scholarship

Len H. Layne started in the real estate business on a small scale in 1978 and grew to be an industry leader in tenant representation. As Austin grew and changed, Len seized the opportunity to begin developing and leasing business parks and founded his new company, L. H. Layne Company. Len was one of the first CCIMs in Austin and participated in establishing the Central Texas chapter.
