Leadership and Development

JWL Leadership Development Academy

The JWL Leadership Development Academy is named in honor of Jay W. Levine, CCIM, the Institute's first president and its second Designee. Levine was instrumental in the creation and growth of The CCIM Institute and The CCIM Institute Foundation.

The JWL Program incorporates a variety of learning methods and immersive experiences to provide a well-rounded education in leadership. The program is designed to equip participants with the skills, confidence, and self-awareness necessary for leadership roles within the CCIM Institute, their communities, and their professional careers. Its small class setting fosters meaningful connections and a strong sense of camaraderie among participants, creating a lasting network of emerging industry leaders.

The Lenn and Groeneveld Fund for Leadership Development was established to honor Dr. Jeffrey Lenn, CCIM, and Susan J. Groeneveld, CCIM, for their extraordinary leadership, dedication, and lasting contributions to the CCIM Institute and the JWL Program. Their commitment to cultivating future industry leaders continues to inspire the next generation of CCIM professionals.

This prestigious scholarship supports participation in the program by providing:

  • $2,500 toward the Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy tuition
  • $2,500 travel stipend to assist with program-related expenses

Scholarship recipients are selected primarily on merit, with financial need also taken into consideration. In addition to supporting leadership development through the Foundation, the fund also helps support a JWL Leadership Development Academy alumni event, fostering continued connection, collaboration, and professional growth among program graduates.

Leadership Beyond JWL Academy

Graduating from the Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy (JWL) program is just the beginning. As a JWL alumnus, you become part of a distinguished network of CCIM leaders committed to lifelong learning, mentorship, and service.

To foster these lifelong connections, the CCIM Institute Foundation hosts the JWL Alumni Event every other year, bringing alumni together to reconnect, share leadership experiences, and strengthen relationships across the JWL community. The event provides a unique opportunity to engage with fellow graduates, exchange ideas, mentor emerging leaders, and celebrate the lasting impact of the JWL program.

Leadership doesn't end at graduation; it continues through the relationships, collaboration, and service that define the JWL Alumni Network.
